Hear Me Roar
Parents and teachers advocating for dyslexic or autistic children
Open for Submissions
Hear Me Roar is a collection of personal stories and poetry from parents and teachers of children with language or literacy difficulties. Share the fight to have your child’s needs met, from your initial concerns through diagnosis, and accommodations to care. The challenge of ensuring your special needs child is accepted and respected can be a difficult one for parents and teachers. We often have to raise our voices and roar with the passion and commitment of a lion. Share your stories of troubles and triumphs as the advocate for a special child in your life.
2,000-10,000 word personal stories;
and poetry submissions of any length;
free editorial assistance available.
Please submit anthology entries to email@example.com and include “Anthology: Hear Me Roar” in your subject line.
Some of the most important stories may come from people who continue to struggle with language and literacy. In these cases, we have support to help get your story written. You can speak your story and we will transcribe it, or share your story through an interview. If you have a story to tell, we want to ensure your voice can be heard and will do everything we can to help you share your own experience.
For questions or to discuss your Anthology entry please email firstname.lastname@example.org or phone Rebecca on +61 423 037 054.
