#001 Rebecca Laffar-Smith Shares Her Dyslexia Journey – TLC’s Inaugural Episode

In today’s episode Nanci has the brilliant idea of interviewing me (Rebecca) which of course put me on the spot because I honestly had no idea what to say. Thankfully she asked some great questions, and I brought my little service-dog-in-training hero, Carson, with me to help combat my own anxiety. We talk about me and my own challenges with dyslexia, my children and the books we write, and Joshua’s journey with dyslexia and autism. So, in this inaugural episode, you have a chance to meet me, find out more about my own background and why I’m passionate about making a difference in the lives of children who struggle with language and literacy difficulties.

You can find out more about me and all the ways to contact me at: http://www.rebeccalaffarsmith.com/
And of course, we highly recommend spending some time browsing on the Aulexic blog and online store at: http://www.aulexic.com.au

Thank you both for an excellent inaugural episode. I found it informative and enlightening and now have a greater insight into dyslexia and the impact it can have on a child’s developing literacy skills. Personal stories always have greater impact than factual information. I’m looking forward to future episodes.
